Hotkey Tips
Instead of a mouse, some people like to use key combinations as "shortcuts" to toolbar functions.
Some of the most common shortcut key combinations are listed below, along with their functions.
There are a couple of functions here that are not covered elsewhere in this tutorial.
(On Macintosh computers, substitute the "Apple" key for Ctrl)
Ctrl F | Find in Page | Allows you to find a specified word or phrase wherever it occurs in the page |
Ctrl H | History List | Shows a listing of all the web pages visited within the last several days (time period may be reset in Preferences) |
Ctrl P | Print Page | Prints the current web page |
Ctrl N | New Browser Window | Launches a new browser window |
Ctrl W | Close Browser Window | Closes one browser window |
Ctrl Q | Quit Netscape | Closes all browser windows and quits the program. |
